Top Outdoor Activities for Fall

December 07, 2015 by Callie Wamsley

With summer behind us and the fall season upon us, it is a great time to get outside and explore. We invite you all to enjoy the falling leaves and cooler weather, either at WaterWays Township or beyond, with a variety of outdoor activities this season.

Grab your kayaks and paddles and enjoy an afternoon of kayaking in the fall sunshine! Waterways offers the convenience of our own kayak storage and launch facilities at the Hawk Island Boat House, where you can explore the pristine Grand Lagoon and miles of coastal habitat.

Don’t miss out on the spectacular fall foliage along the local trails this season. Lace up your boots and hit an unbeaten path to experience all that fall has to offer while humoring the inner explorer inside of you!

Cool, dry weather makes fall one of the best times of the year to go camping. Top it off with a night around the campfire with hot apple cider and s’mores and you have the ideal fall evening. Whether in a traditional campsite hours away or in your backyard, nothing beats the enjoyment of a night bundled under the stars.

Waterways offers a superior fishing experience with the Bill Dance Signature Lake. Take a trip down to the water for an activity that is fun for the entire family. Put your fishing skills to the test – don’t forget your bait!

Saddle up and hit Richmond Hill’s rustic trails on horseback. The colorful leaves littering the ground make it a perfect time to explore the trails on the back of such a beloved animal.

Whatever you decide to do, we hope you enjoy the beautiful outdoors this season and come see us at WaterWays Township!
