Leprechaun’s Pot Hat

Materials:

• Clay pots
• Green paint
• Black ribbon
• Hot glue gun/hot glue
• Belt buckles (can buy these at a store like Michael’s)

Procedure:

1. Get a pot and paint it green
2. Let it dry
3. Cut a ribbon that will go all the way around the pot just under the lip
4. Thread the ribbon through the buckle and then wrap around the pot
5. Glue the ribbon together and in place on the pot

Leprechaun’s Popsicle Hat

Materials:

• Bag of popsicle sticks
• Glue sticks
• Green markers/paint
• Black and yellow construction paper
• Scissors

Procedure:

1. Form popsicle sticks into the shape of hat (see picture for guidance)
2. Glue some popsicle sticks on the back to hold them in the hat form
3. Color/paint the hat shape
4. Cut a black strip as long as the width of the hat and about an inch wide
5. Cut a yellow square about 1in.x1in. and a black square ½ in. x ½ in.
6. Glue the stripe down and then make a buckle with the two squares

Hand Print Clovers

Materials:

• Canvas or a small poster board
• Green paint

Procedure:

1. Paint your kids’ hands green and place them in the center of the canvas or poster board in the shape of a clover
2. Draw a stem for the clover
3. Use a pen or sharpie to write a caption (optional)

Hanging Pot of Gold

Materials:

• Rainbow colored construction paper
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Glue stick

Procedure:

1. Cut strips of 6in. x 1in. in each color of the rainbow paper
2. Cut out the shape of a pot in black paper
3. Cut out the shape of a gold heap to be glued onto the pot (use picture for example)
4. Make a chain by stapling the ends of the strips of paper together.
5. Then staple or glue the bottom of the chain to the pot of gold.

 Pot of Gold

Materials:

• Small pots
• Black and gold paint
• Gold wrapped candies (dollar store will have the chocolate gold coins)

Procedure:

1. Get a pot and paint it fully black and let dry
2. Paint the rim of the pot with gold
3. Paint any other design like a clover on the side
4. Fill up with yummy candies

Leprechaun Stick Puppets

Materials:

• Coffee filters
• Orange paint
• Tan, green, black, and yellow construction paper
• Crayons
• Google eyes
• Glue sticks
• Popsicle sticks

Procedure:

1. Paint the coffee filters orange
2. While waiting for those to dry, cut the shape of a top hat out of the green construction paper
3. Cut a strip of black to make a band on the hat
4. Cut out a yellow square and a smaller black square for the buckle on the hat
5. Glue all of the hat parts together (see picture)
6. Cut out a circle that will fit inside of the coffee filter and glue the google eyes to it and draw the rest of the face
7. Glue the face to the center of the coffee filer and then glue the hat on top
8. Glue the popsicle stick to the back
