Richmond Hill 2014 Holiday Tour of Homes Features Long Creek Lane in WaterWays Township

November 20, 2014 by Callie Wamsley

Richmond Hill offers a stunning array of scenery year-round – but Christmas in this historic town is simply magic. Twinkling lights hanging low over century-old live oaks, friends and family telling their favorite holiday stories while sippin' delicious hot cocoa, and stargazing under grandma's soft handmade quilt – there's just nothing else like it. This year, the Richmond Hill Historical Society wants to share the holiday spirit with their annual Holiday Tour of Homes. Open to the public, guests will enjoy an afternoon filled with holiday cheer as they take a peek into some of the most beautiful homes in the Richmond Hill area.

The self-guided tour will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 1-5 p.m., and will begin with tea at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Guests will continue to the Richmond Hill Museum, where visitors will learn its history, dating back to 1939, with local patrons, Henry and Clara Ford. From there, guests will mosey over to the historical Bailey Carpenter Barber shop before traveling south to peek into holiday-decorated homes – featuring the charming low country home of Chris Gore and Tammy Carroll located at 10 Long Creek Lane in WaterWays Township.

Tickets can be purchased at the Richmond Hill Museum for $30 in advance or $35 the day of the tour. For more information, call 912.756.3697 or email richmondhillhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
