Preserve Our Beautiful Georgia Coast

July 10, 2014 by Callie Wamsley

Like we always say here at WaterWays Township, life begins with water. The great outdoors of the Georgia coast is the backbone of our community and we are committed to preserving its beauty. Like WaterWays, the Ogeechee Riverkeeper Organization is dedicated to protecting, preserving and improving the water quality of the Ogeechee River.

It takes a village! Coastal Georgians banding together to support the preservation of our waters is pivotal in keeping Georgia beautiful. This Saturday, July 12 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Love's Seafood Restaurant in Savannah, South Georgia residents can join the Ogeechee Riverkeeper Organization for their annual meeting and membership drive. This is a family friendly event that will feature local music with a performance from Dr. Dan Matrazzo and The Looters with a low country boil buffet courtesy of Love's Seafood. Tickets to the event are $20 for adults and $6 for children. Head out to Savannah this weekend and support our beautiful coastal waters!
