Spring break can be a little stressful for parents, since parenting is a full-time job. The kids are out of school, but you still have responsibilities to take care of. And while school gives parents that nice little break to perform all of the essential family duties, it still feels good to be able to spend a little more time with your kids. Here are some tips to help you plan a fun week that the whole family will enjoy.

Go on a bike ride. Take a ride around the neighborhood; enjoy the many nature and pedestrian trails Richmond Hill has to offer.

Have a kayaking adventure. Just being on the water alone is enough to make something an adventure. There are numerous rivers, tidal creeks, and fresh water lagoons that wind through a stunning collection of coastal Georgia habitats such as the Ogeechee River and Canoochee River.

Discover a new-to-you park. Today, Savannah, GA has 22 historic squares that offer beautiful scenery in the midst of historic housing. That’s 22 chances for you and your families to discover a new place to read, play checkers or just walk around.

Plan a day in nature. Georgia has so much to offer. Travel an hour down I-95 and visit one of the Georgia’s barrier islands.

Rediscover your own backyard. Who said you have to travel to have fun? Even if you did travel during the day, camping out in your backyard is an easy way to continue the vacation without denting your wallet.

Avoid college spring break areas. If you do plan on traveling, make sure to do some research ahead of time. Know which areas are family-friendly and which ones aren’t.

Keep the kids on the same routine. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement when you’re having fun, but to help save you the pain of readjusting back to school, keep your kids on the same schedule during the last two or three days. Towards the end of the break, have your kids wake up and go to bed around the same time they do for school.
