It's An All-American July Fourth Celebration

June 25, 2015 by Callie Wamsley

Whether you're celebrating in the low country of Richmond Hill, the Hamptons in New York or the warm West Coast in California, the Fourth of July is one of the most celebrated holidays across the nation. It's a time for friends, family and neighbors to gather together and celebrate the freedom we live each and every day.

This year, WaterWays is celebrating big by throwing the "All-American Celebration" on Saturday, July 4, where residents can gather at WaterClub West for an afternoon of all-American fun. Youngsters can participate in the children's patriotic parade by Happy Fourth of July decorating their wagons, bicycles, tricycles and more in red, white and blue and strolling around the neighborhood. Parents should meet at the pool parking lot with children to line up before heading out on the short parade route to the entrance of Long Creek.

After the children's patriotic parade, the party will move over to WaterClub West, where there will be games, swimming and a homemade ice cream bar. If interested in making ice cream, bring your own churn and churn and churn to make a cool treat on a hot day. At 6 p.m., the WaterWays Township team will fire up the grill to make hot dogs and barbecue. Please bring your signature side dish to add to the table, as well as lawn chairs to relax by the pool!

For more information or to RSVP, reach out to WaterWays resident Wendy Bass at 912.445.2449. If you'd like to share your side dish plans, post them to the WaterWays All-American July Fourth Celebration event page.
