Get the Camp Experience in Bryan County

In addition to the great outdoor activities that we offer here at WaterWays, the South Bryan County Recreation Department also offers a variety summer camp options that are sure to keep your child active both physically and mentally. With day camp and sleep away camps offering activities for all ages including the arts, dance and music, sports, nature, and special trips; there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Supervised programs led by professional staff provide parents with a way to entertain their children while they are out of school and provide them with a memorable summer experience, in a fun, safe, and high energy environment.

Check out some of the great options, here in our local community!

South Bryan Summer Day Camp -This day camp offers 10 exciting weeks beginning May 28th with specific themes, activities, and trips for children to enjoy. Each week also includes water day, skating, and a trip to Jump N' Jack's. Possible weekly activities also include a movie theater and other offsite trips to local parks and nature trails. Call Hunter Odom at 912–756–4075 for registration and information. The cost is $125 per week with a $10 discount for each additional child. All camps are held in the recreation gym on Timber Trail.

Fort McAllister Junior Ranger Camp - Fort McAllister State Historic Park will offer  two weekly sessions of Junior Ranger Summer Camp for children ages 8 to 12. The camp will run the weeks of June 25-29, and July 9-13 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. daily. Activities will include arts and crafts, canoeing, games, nature walks, nature scavenger hunts and learning how to make nature snacks.

Call 912–727–2339 for registration and information. The deadline to register for the week of June 25 was June 15, and June 29 for the week of July 9. The cost is $75 per child. Sports Camps—Offering beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions for both soccer and basketball, these two sports camps are sure to improve skill and ability and build camaraderie among new friends.
