2014_superbowl_header_lgWho will you be rooting for this Super Bowl weekend? The Broncos or the Seahawks?

The truth is -- whether you're into NFL football or not – the Super Bowl is typically a night where folks gather together, eat great food and enjoy good football and great commercials! Did you know that Super Bowl Sunday is the second-largest day for consumption of food and drink for Americans, behind Thanksgiving Day?

This Super Bowl Sunday, invite your WaterWays neighbors over and make it a winning party! Here are some tips to make the night memorable:

1) Festive, football themed décor. Use colored paper and plastic tableware in the Broncos team colors, blue and orange, or in the Seahawks team colors, navy and lime green.

2) Offer finger food. Find recipes here for Kickin' Chicken Nuggets, Pigskins in a Blanket and Butternut Squash Pizza Bites.

3) Create a grits bar! Cook grits in the crockpot and create a toppings bar complete with shrimp, creole sauce, bacon, pulled pork, cheese and sautéed veggies! This is sure to be a touchdown with your guests! Check out the recipe!

4) Make it a game! Print out these bingo cards for your guests and give the winner a prize!

5) Stock up on beverages! Â Beer, wine, punch or soft drinks, don't forget to have plenty of alcoholic and non- alcoholic choices to offer your friends.
