It's easy. It's fresh and flavorful. It's better. Buying fresh produce, poultry and meat for your family is one of the many things you can savor about summer. The farm to table trend is gaining rapid momentum as local farmers' markets continue to grow and more families taste the difference of locally grown food.

It's that time again and Richmond Hill residents will now have access to one of the community's freshest assets-- the City of Richmond Hill Park and Tree Department Farmers Market. With more than 20 vendors, the market is a place for people to come together on a warm summer night, enjoy the outdoors and avoid a trip to an overcrowded supermarket. Not to mention, shoppers know that the money spent on vegetables, fruits, poultry and meat at the farmer's market goes to support the development of the local agricultural economy which will foster stewardship of the land and goodwill in the community.

The Richmond Hill Farmers Market runs from April to October each year on Tuesday night from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. under a covered pavilion at J. F. Gregory Park (521 Cedar Street, Richmond Hill, GA 31324). Here are some of the farmers you'll meet:
