DIY a Sweet Halloween Candy Bowl!

October 31, 2013 by Callie Wamsley

It's no secret – every trick-or-treater's favorite part of Halloween is the free candy! So toss out that old candy jar and get in the spooky spirit by creating a custom candy dish for your little ghouls and goblins!

Here are a few ideas:

  •  Hat tricks – put last year's witch's costume to good use by turning it into a terrifying treat bowl. Just turn it upside down and – presto – instant candy dish.
  •  Mummy magic – wrap Hershey's chocolate bars in white crepe paper and tape around the back. Glue on two googly eyes for a fun finishing touch!
  • Fishing for compliments – turn an old fish bowl into a friendly jack-o-lantern by simply adding decals – just be sure to remove Goldie the goldfish first!
  • Mars jars – feeling crafty? Fill mason jars with orange M&M's, tie on a piece of ribbon and hand them out one by one to trick-or-treaters. Use creepy stickers and fun fabrics to add some extra flair!
