Since the 2006 purchase of approximately 2,300 acres that make up WaterWays Township, one of the most promising experiences for our developers has been the opportunity to work with many visionary leaders of Bryan County. The commitment to community is so obvious here, whether it's through the county's Business Bryan initiative to be entrepreneur-friendly, our annual family-focused events like the 13th Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival or the amazing public/private partnerships such as the Richmond Hill Volunteer Fire Department. Bryan County is a thriving, vibrant community because of its "helping hands" commitment to neighbors, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
WaterWays Township is committed to helping Bryan County grow. As such, we donated land in 2011 and committed to pay for a new fire station to serve the southern tip of Bryan County. The Class 4, 28-member fire squad team can plan its future growth and continue its premiere reputation for fire and safety rescue supported by the construction of this new station, which will be the fifth station in South Bryan and the tenth station in the county. We eagerly await the anticipated commencement of construction on this facility at WaterWays Township, which is expected to begin in 2012.
