Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 29th, because we have a whole day of fun for the family planned for you! From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., anglers will compete at our 3rd Annual “Matt Knight” Fishing Tournament to Benefit the American Cancer Society!
Tournament registration is still open, so all residents are welcome to join! The competition will take place along WaterWays’ very own Bill Dance Signature Fishing Lagoon. Tournament fees are $45 for adults and $30 for children ages 8 to 11. Tickets for the tournament can be purchased here.
Admission to the event will be free and in addition to the tournament, local retail and food vendors, inflatables, and activities will be open for the whole family.
The event is named and held in honor of Matt Knight and his battle with colon cancer. Matt Knight’s fight began in February 2015 and he has since been through many challenges. After long battles with chemotherapy, surgeries, tumors and pain, Matt Knight continues to fight harder each day.
